Sam and I do some more exploring...

Sam and I headed off to explore a cycleway and do a backstreet shuffle that even had me wondering where we were for a sec! I am not sure if Sam had been this way, he was very excited by all the new smells he was entertained by. It may have all been new just because of all the rain we have had and all the debris washed down streets and peoples backyards.

I’m not quite sure where Sam has walked before, so between the two of us is all new anyway! I had a plan to check out the watercourses nearby and see how they faired with the downpours we had yesterday. So we did a back street shuffle and walked down a small section of watercourse. It didn’t seem to have had too much micro flooding, but was still sodden as we walked along it.

We then met up with the cycleway and hopped on that for a lil while and then back down into the water course again. All the tree plantings along the way looked very relieved for the rain, and there were even some happy frogs in the undergrowth by one drain, so that was nice to hear.

After a lil while we jumped back up on the cycleway and followed that for a bit, and turned off down an alleyway to what I thought was a street I knew… That was Until we got to a point I wasn’t expecting! It wasn’t until we got back to the water course with the frogs that I realized I was out by a few streets! Ahh well! Know I know where that alley way leads! Thanks Sam!

Sam didn’t seem to mind either way, and instead of criss-crossing back along the other watercourse we jogged along the cycleway… at least we’d have less wet feet!

Finally we headed for home and Sam was excited to be back in his Street and even happier to see his roomies. We didn’t really walk that far, but there was lots of scents to explore and piles of debris to checkout… so he must have had a sensory work out today! To cool off he jumped in his pool again… and again, that was the last I saw of him! He didn’t escort me to the gate, so I’ll take that as a pooped dog sign! Good job on not getting me too lost today Sam!
