01.03.15 Copper
I surprised Copper this morning by turning up for a morning walk instead of the afternoon. He was pretty happy to see me and he put down the skate board and his favourite ball once he worked out I had the lead in my hand!
So we set off and took the high road out of town. Pretty soon we were out in the countryside with the roadside to ourselves. We didn’t see too many grasshoppers, but I guess they like the afternoons… especially on a Sunday… sleep-in time. So we just wandered out along the road, just taking in the cool breeze that was hitting us head on. It was very pleasant. I kinda lost track of time and we had to start heading back.
On the way out we both must have been dawdling in a daydream as it only took us half the time to get back! So we did some backstreet shuffles to make sure everyone was behaving. That ended up being a great idea as there were a few BBQ breakfasts going on and the smell of sausages, bacon and eggs along with woodfired smoke was wafting over us from a couple of houses. A couple of households had the same idea!
That made for nice smells as we walked along. I don’t know about Copper but all I could think about was BBQ plate fried bread, bacon, eggs and mushrooms! Neither of us had any waiting for us at home, but it was a nice thought!
Good job Copper… see you next time!
