02.03.15 Mia and Petra
I have got to hang with Mia and Petra a few times now, but today was the first time we have taken a walk together. So I was pretty excited to hook their harnesses and lead, and take a walk!
Petra and Mia are lovely dogs. Mia is very very friendly and will take all the pats and scratches I can give out! So she’s great. And Petra likes her personal space, but comes over has a few pats, gives a few licks and is off… a few minutes later she’ll be back! Its very cute and the two girls are lovely company. Mia and I have the longer chats, but I am sure Petra like the company as well.
So today, as is always the case on the first few walks we explore around home. I know their area quite well as some of my team have shown me a lot of walks in Mia and Petra’s area. So really I was just checking out how they walk.
Now, Mia and Petra are of an age where you’d think they would slow down, but as soon as the leads came out they we very tail-waggly. In fact they were having a very happy day (maybe they are always like that – I wouldn’t be surprised as they have great temperaments) with their tails waging fast than their foot steps!
We mostly kept close to home, but we did a nice long hill. The area they live in provides nice shady spots, but the girls kept on going when I offered a break… so they just led on!
By the time we got home they were barely puffed, so next time Mia and Petra… get ready!
