05.03.15 Zoe and Joe
Zoe, Joe and I took a nice, less hilly route today, so we covered a lot of km’s. In fact because of our nice pace today we nudged even closer to a magic milestone. One we should stomp on early in our next walk…. Stay tuned!
The plan for today was to take an easy route that took us through a lot of parks and end up at one with a dry-ish creek running through it. Zoe and Joe like this route as I remove most of the hills and we essentially walk along the same line of topography… so it’s pretty nice. Zoe never minds where we walk, but I am sure Joe appreciated the fewer undulations we could have taken.
Funnily enough though, it was Zoe that flopped on the cool shady concrete first… so Joe did alright!
We followed the well worn paths and skipped across some nicely manicured grass on a cricket oval… we had a quick roley-poley play but then continued on. Zoe and Joe are a clever team. There are some chicanes to deter people on anything other than on foot… joe leads the way, Zoe next and then me. When we came back, Joe had his mind on other things… so Zoe stepped in to lead the way. She did look to me, but I said go for it… if he’s too slow!
I like that about my Boxer team. Zoe and Joe work together well. No bickering… just getting on with things.
We made it to the park and had a brief drinks break, but it was still cool so our water consumption was low, and they had enough energy to want to wrestle with me at half time, so todays halfway point hadn’t been too taxing.
After a break, we headed home for the shady spots and the water bucket. Zoe flopped in the shade and Joe saw me off to the gate… see you soon guys!
