Muriel and I set off in the early morning rising sun… By any chance did you see the moon-set? It was pretty special. We made it to a pond that was so still that we did some gravity defying photography!

It’s always a great Friday when you get to kick it off with a walk with Muriel. As always she was ready to go as soon as I came to get her. Lead in mouth, tail wagging and heading out the door without me!

Today I thought we’d go visit a pond to see some Ducks. Everyone loves ducks! So we followed the path taking in a hill climb as we went. It was a lovely bright sun-shiney morning andf highlighted Muriel freshly washed (and conditioned) coat. She went swimming yesterday…. So she had a very light coat on today!

We passed a few joggers, walkers and Dogs with their families. The early morning crew. It was even a little cool out there this morning, a nice Sou’Westerly that was a little chilly in the breeze! Yay! Winter is coming…!

We got to the top of the climband made our way to the pond. There weren’t any ducks but there was a beautiful herron. Muriel didn’t really notice she was a bit keen to go in for another swim. Billy and I have experienced swimming in this particular pond and it has very fine silt… it makes you come out much dirtier looking than when you went in… so we avoided that for today!

We took some photos of the reflections in the water, with Muriel in the foreground… if you turned the pics upside down, Muriel looked like she was hanging from a ceiling covered in grass!

After the photo-op we headed home. We covered a nice fun distance today, and somewhere near the pond Muriel helped me walk over 1500km! Thanks Muriel!
