07.03.15 Phil

Phil was aiming high on today’s walk! He had an ever watchful eye on pigeons… even if they were in the powerlines towering above us…!

Today we went on another long walk together. We did a great big loop that took in roadside walks, cycleways, through the ‘burbs and crossing watercourses. As always we are ever watchful for pigeons, or a nice garden fence to peer over or hedgerow to get tail deep in!

We didn’t get to see many pigeons today, but we made up for the lack of sightings by the new and imaginative ways Phil was looking for them! Didn’t matter if they were 20 feet up above us on power lines… he was still trying to point them out! Still pretty clever really!

I took a pic of Phil’s oustretched neck, head raised all just to spot a pigeon way up above.

The other funny pic I took of Phil was him whilst he was inspecting a garden. Well, one thing led to another and next thing I know he was completely engulfed by someone’s hedge along our route. If it were up to him…he’d probably still be in there! I didn’t quite work out what he was looking at… I wasn’t going in, never to return!

We did eventually make it home after exploring gardens and pointing out birds, but when we did arrive home Phil was the thirstiest I have seen him… and he cooled off on the nice cold tiles! Aww, c’mon Phil… we didn’t go that far today…Did we?
