10.03.15 Billy

So Billy got to take care of Mike today. I have been in the wars ending in an early morning Sunday visit to the hospital! Nothing major but I was left sore and sorry for myself!

We left a little later in the day today, so it was quite warm. Just as well really as my pace was off the ball and I was really looking forward to the rests myself!

Billy did manage to prop me up to make it a few k’s from home even though we rested up a bit along the way. Billy was very patient and kept an eye on me.

We did make it through one bog park open space and then into another. We did a few laps of the oval and had a nice shady drinks break.

What was funny though, was the fact that when we got home after having taken it so easy on Billy (for purely self-preservation reasons!), we staggered through the gate, and I was almost going to apologise for the slow walking, when Billy staggered off to his shady spot on the verandah, flopped down and looked as pooped as he usually does. So even when I am a bit sore and sorry for myself…we still covered a good distance and still got out and about.

It just goes to show you. It doesn’t matter how far you walk your precious family member… just get them out of the yard, they’ll love you even more for it!
