11.03.15 Leo and Sadie.

Leo and Sadie are a great example of what regular exercise a little training and a caring family can do for our Dogs. Leo and Sadie’s mum and family can be very busy, but they make sure their Fur-kids have plenty to do!

As an example last week my two staffy team members went on a nice walk with their family and I came in the next day and they did really well on getting settled and not getting too distracted by things. Sure there were distractions, but they were very sensible kids in a shorter period of time!

Today, I got to walk my Leo and Sadie team after a taxi ride, school and a taxi ride home the day before. Again when we went out for our walk once again, they were able to settle in to our walking no matter the distractions! So very cool!

We did a nice walk today(see when we can get into a nice walking rhythm we can go miles!) that took us through a few nice open spaces. The grass was nice and short so I could see my team’s paws… that way we don’t get any surprises from any friendly reptiles…BOO, I’m here!

It was also nice, as the open spaces we took also had a nice array of shady spots and shady walkways so we were able to make full use of those! We even got to get our feet wet in a cute little constructed wetland sediment trap in the form of a rocky bottomed creek bed! So that was nice!

We had a couple of shady rests, but after a paw wetting walk we decided to have a drinks break. I may have mentioned this previously, but Leo can appear as an aloof boy. He is very selective on who he talks to! Sadie is a social girl so shes never has problems meeting new friends. But today, like some other days I have noticed, that Leo sidles up leans on me and takes all the pats he can get! Such a snuggly lil guy!

So after a good walk we headed home. We’d walked a fair way today and it was quite warm so I expected Leo and Sadie to dive into their water bowls, but Mum was working from home and the inside bowls and the cool tiles were very inviting!

Good walking today team… you both did very well!
