12.03.15 Fergus and Zara
It was a true “Alpine Start” for my first walk with Fergus and Zara! We were on our way in the darkness with the only light coming from the quartering moon!
So Fergus and Zara are a pair of Golden Retrievers that love their walks. They are lucky enough to have an active family that takes them for regular walks, but I have been called in to sub-in for a little while!
It was also a very interesting first walk for all of us! It was pretty dark and we were headed for a walking track that I hadn’t been on before so it was a bit exciting to navigate! The crunching of rocky pathways and the moon light brought back many memories of early starts in desert canyons crunching along on gravel and stones. It also reminded me of crunching through untracked snow in the frozen morning!
Fergus and Zara led the way and showed me around. There were a lot of kangaroos about so that was fun! Though I hear Fergus and Zara are more interested in rabbits than Roos! We didn’t see any of those, but we did find some holes that looked suspiciously like warren entrys!
So we did a nice loop, and I was sort of night time oriented to a new walking track for me. I was glad to have some guides on my team that knew the way!
Welcome to the team Fergus and Zara!
