12.03.15 Muriel
Even though Muriel was the second team member walk for the morning, we got to watch the sunrise again…always a nice way to start the day!
It was nice to be up early and on the road. We followed some cycleways and as we were basically heading east-ish we were walking into the rising sun for the most part. I always enjoy a sun-rise and a sun-set… but who doesn’t? Muriel is always up early so I am certain that she has seen many many sunsets with her mum!
As we were up early, we got to meet the early morning crew of walkers, joggers and those walking their fur-family members.
Muriel is a social girl and today was particularly funny, as when she spotted any one behind her or even in front she wouldn’t continue until she had sufficiently checked them out and in some cases said hello! We had a chat with a near neighbor and their pet, so it was a very social morning indeed.
So we had an interrupted walk for the most part today. We still covered some k’s as Muriel loves the cooler weather, so she still gets up a head of steam and trots along. We got to see our first autumnal morning complete with rising sun, lifting mist and clear blue skies above! Very nice!
We took a nice loop back home along a main road that eventually led us back to the cycleway, and we trotted along. What was interesting was when we came to cross one of the main roads, we had about 100m of visibility and with the sun streaming through it was particularly tough to make our way through the passing traffic.
But we managed to get across and made it home nice and safe. But it was a reminder that with the cooler mornings come new obstacles to consider as we take our walks.
Good walking Muriel!
