14.03.15 Zoe and Joe
Today I did a drive-by past some of my favourite water courses to see which ones had been mowed, I heard rumours of the mower guys out and hard at work after the heavy rains a week or so back. Zoe Jope and I hadn’t been out on a few of these watercourses for a little while, just so as to reduce the risk of coming across “dragons “ and other beasties lurking in the undergrowth!
I was a little excited to check out the watercourse and see how it looked. Zoe and Joe didn’t mind at all…though they did particularly like the Horses feeding in some top paddocks… even I could smell them from a ways off, so I am sure Zoe were overloaded with horsey smells!
As the place was now almost golfing fairway manicured (BRC do such a great job!) there was lots to smell. Either stirred up by the mower blades or leftovers from the torrent that flowed down a lil while ago! I’d have liked to have seen that!
So we scooted down the watercourse, and followed our long loop around and started up the hill. We had a drinks break but as it was pretty cool Zoe and Joe didn’t want to hang about too much. I even offered Joe a few complimentary pit stops, but he was happy to keep going for the most part. He did call a couple of short rests… but even I was happy with those…!
The long loop today was a nice challenge, as it ended with a nice long hill climb so that had Zoe and Joe pooped by the time we got home… regardless of the pleasant temps that were out today! Nice walk guys!
