17.03.15 Billy
Billy always gives me a nice welcome to the new week. When I arrive we have a ritual pat and scratches and Billy snuffles in on me. I ask Billy about his weekend and off we go.
Our usual ritual for our walks is a bit of bonding. Despite how tough Billy might look… he loves to share the love. He’s actually a very affectionate guy! Then we saddle up and off we go. Today I wanted to get to a park on the hill and maybe even do a lap if we have time.
Of course we made it with time to spare, and we even had time to meet with Betty’s dad. Billy as always, was very sociable and enjoyed the extra pats from a “stranger” so he was ok with us chatting!
After meeting his namesake, Billy and I headed off in a loop towards home.
Over a little while now, whenever we take a certain route home, we pass by a small alleyway that I have no clue where it ends up, and we were making good time, so off we went into uncharted pathways. Yet again we found another way to get around and take shortcuts to here and back ways to there! Billy doesn’t seem to mind my inquisitive and “all-over-the-place” loops we sometimes make…. All pieces to the puzzle Billy, all pieces to the puzzle!
Today was a little cooler, so when we got home, Billy didn’t just collapse in a pile in the shade, he went and investigated his back fence, paced the perimeter and then found a rope toy and played with that. Last I saw of Billy he was “worrying” a rope snake… he seemed to be handling himself ok… Nice walk today Billy!
