17.03.15 Riley
Riley wasn’t quite feeling himself last walk we did, but today he was firing on all fours! It was nice to see him back to his usual self!
(This pic was from the other day...we were so into our walk I forgot to take pics...again!)
Rileys dad was home when I got there, he was just passing through! We had a chat and then Riley and I headed off. We got to wave to Rileys dad as he passed us going to work, but Riley was concentrating on his walk and all the scents lurking in some lomandras!
So we scaled a hill and coasted down the other side. We were really stepping it out today, and as I said, it was nice to see Riley charging off and feeling better.
We made it to the creek and had a poke around there, then circumnavigated the creek / pond in a big loop and then headed towards home. I may have mentioned before that Riley seems to stop and show some interest in the same set of trees that my mate Billy shows and interest in and even tries to climb! So the possums must really like that tree!
We were making really good time, so we linked up with another park and visited the duck pond. Riley liked seeing the ducks and other birds, Egrets, Galahs, wagtails and others. He was more interested in the pond itself today. So the birdlife was safe and sound!
We finally started heading for home, but Riley wasn’t so keen. He wanted to explore some more. Riley can be a very determined boy at times, so we sorta followed his lead for a bit… but he wasn’t really going anywhere in particular. So I managed to convince him that home was a good direction to go in!
Good job today Riley… nice to have your energetic and determined-self back!
