How awesome was today!? I got to walk my newest team members, Bella and Teddy for the second time. They gave me a great welcome, and I had to call a halt to a potentially neverending game of fetch so we could go for a walk… Hey…don’t mind me…I’m easily distracted too!

After having walked some of my longer legged team members from early in the morning… I was sorta hoping for a small reprieve from my two new short-legged fur-friends…. Ahh… not so much! We had only walked together once, and already we settled into a nice pattern. Sure it was still exciting…I mean whats more exciting than going for a walk? But Bella and Teddy are great walkers.

We didn’t do a lot of straight-line marching the other day, so when we did today, we really scooted along! So I thought, well, if we can walk like that…lets head for the river!

It was really nice walking with Bella and Teddy. They seemed very happy to be out and about. We followed grassy paths, hopped over the cycleway, followed the fence-line via a partially worn path and down to the water’s edge.

I am always careful with my charges and don’t let them go too crazy. We only went in for a little splash and that was it. we did go up and down to a couple of spots but I didn’t let them in too deep.

Little was I to know that Bella…is a waterbaby too. Bella and Teddy have a pool at home and after our walk she just dove in and splashed about and played with her ball. Teddy was running about and having fun too. OK guys…I have you both worked out… river splashing is no problem at all…and… all that energy left today, makes me think we’ll have to stretch those lil legs even more next time!
