23.03.15 Diesel
Diesel and I went to the Dog Park again today, but we also went on a walk and a lil play in the river.
Diesel and I have been going to the park to practice recalls, but sometimes there are just too many distractions! So we went for a walk along the levee and the riverside walk.
I have a beachside access that I use to get to the river. The river was quite low today so there really wasn’t all that much to play in.though, what was fun was Diesels introduction to the babble in babbling brook! We had been splashing about in some pools, but I took diesel up to where the riffle was bubbling and gurgling along!
Diesel walked up on it and then backed away as soon as he heard the noise! It was very cute. He didn’t know what to make of it! It was just a larger rock that was causing the noise as the water splashed by. I took a little video of him backing away after being brave enough to see what it was!
After being a lil worried about the babbling brook, we headed off upstream and took a look at the new works going on in the riverside walk. There’s a small walkway being added and a nice garden and trellis as well.
Along the way we had to cross a bridge that had a deck of metal grids. Diesel wasn’t very keen on it. I think he could see the creek and the drop below through the grid… so that was a bit off-putting. He got used to it and by the time we came back he was ok walking on the strange deck!
We had a mixed day today, and it was breat taking a walk with you again Diesel.
