25.03.15 Leo and Sadie
Leo and Sadie were first up this morning. We headed for the wide open spaces so we could have a relatively distraction free walk. It worked too…another great walk with the staffy team!
I had a nice walk in an open space in mind today, when I went to take Leo and Sadie for a walk. We’d have to do some shuffles in some streets here and there, but once at the park its always worth the effort.
We had a particularly rowdy bunch of neighbours to pass by today. Sometimes we pass un-noticed… not today though! There were even one lil fur family that were fighting each other to be the one to bark at us… Makes me sad. BUT Leo and Sadie did very well, and we were on our way and scooting along paths and dirt tracks in no time.
We followed a dirt track for a little while, crossed the road, and dived into the front paddocks of open space. We did a very big loop that was as big a loop as you could do without crossing any other pathways and roads. Its so nice in there, relatively nice grass to walk in (no thorns or other spikeys!) and where you need to rest, there are lots of groves and alleyways of trees.
It’s also quite nice lately as the days are a little cooler, so Leo and Sadie are making it without too many stops. So that’s pretty nice. We do have a good drink when we get home, so its not like it’s a cake walk!
After the pretty big loop we did, we headed back for home. Back along the dirt track then a zig zag home. Leo and Sadie do so well when they can knuckle-down and concentrate, it makes for kilometer eating walking. Good job Guys!
