30.03.15 Zoe and Joe
Zoe, Joe and I had a late start to the day today, so that was pretty nice. We still covered some k’s and the weather was cool enough to require only a couple of rest breaks and a short drink stop… Ahhhh! Gotta love Autumn!
It has been a whole few days now since Zoe and Joe have seen me, so the welcome was as enthusiastic as ever! They bring a smile to my face right from the start when they try and poke their noses through the gate latch hole right to when they flop in a pile at the end of the walk. Plus all the bits in between when Zoe is on the scent of something amazing… well you’d think it would have to be pretty amazing with how she really needs to investigate…now!
Joe is always hilarious. From his I am the boss stance when confronted by a Magpie flitting about, or when he spies something dangerous like a piece of bark shaped like a …well who knows what He sees in a twisted bit of bark!? Only his imagination could tell us. But he keeps us safe…and that’s his self-appointed job! He makes me smile!
So today we followed a cycleway for a bit, then down a water course, crossed the road, jumped onto another cycleway and then did a loop via some alleyways, back up onto the roadside again and eventually on the cycleway home again.
I really love my Boxer time with Zoe and Joe. They are easy to please and are always happy no matter where we go or for how far we walk. Even though it was a cooler day today, we still covered some miles and Joe was calling a halt a few times on the way home.
Despite Joe’s sandbagging at the end, Zoe and Joe are great examples of how fit happy and healthy our Dogs can be when we get to spend some quality time and walks. Sure they can be crazy, especially when we see ducks, but they are two of the fittest puppies I know!
Good job Zoe and Joe and thanks for spending time with me today!
