31.3.15 Billy
Today Billy and I walked our fence-line walk and took a peek at the construction. We stayed on the correct side of the fence today!
Billy and I headed off for our walk to follow the fenceline and see where we’d end up. At the start, we got to see some farmers prepping for spraying the newly ripped paddocks, so that was interesting. I wonder what they are planting…I’m guessing some kind of fodder crop to feed some sheep and cattle…who knows though? So we’ll see.
The fence-line walk was relatively freshly mown as well, so it was nice to just walk along without worrying too much about any biteys lurking in the grass. Billy didn’t seem to mind, there’s always lots to smell.
We got to see a few sheep along the way too. As usual we could smell them before we saw the ones up close. When Billy saw them he wanted to say “Hello”! but we managed to stay on our side of the fence despite how exciting they looked!
We made it to where the construction fence-line started and we did a backstreet shuffle to some alleyways that give you a sneak peek at what’s going on. The curbing and guttering is going in and most of the road-base too. Billy was more interested in the husky and some other Dogs, so we scooted off into the streets again. Heading for another vantage point and a drink stop.
Billy had been after lots of pats today…but that’s usual on our first walk after the weekend…he seems to miss me! So when Billy called for a pat-stop we decided to have a rest, drink and pat break.
The walk home was pretty nice, Billy wasn’t in so much of a hurry to check everything out. Its always nice to have a cruisey walk home. Good job today Billy, we’ll see you again soon.
