01.04.15 Zoe and Joe
Zoe, Joe and I did a great big horse-shoe bend walk and came back the same way today. Its not too steep either way, up or down, but you can scoot along pretty nicely on this route.
( I left my phone at home so this pic is from a walk we did a lil while back)
We followed a small watercourse down the hill to the junction of another waterway. This little drop makes for a testing little hill to end the walk on…yes! I’m cruel I know! But I can’t have Joe all up in my grill about me wanting to leave… best to have him pooped at the end of a walk!
We joined the walkway and followed that in amongst some trees. Its usually quite pleasant in there. Lots of Galahs and magpies all eating breakfast. Zoe and Joe aren’t too interested in Galahs of magpies…. Though for some reason he was very keen to investigate some pee wee’s on our arrival at home… strange boy! I have no idea what he thought they were… but he wasn’t keen to leave them be…. But… we did!
It’s a nice time of the year to be out and about in the morning. We saw a few walkers and a couple of them remembered the Two boxers from a walk we did in yet another watercourse. Zoe and Joe are very friendly, and Joe wouldn’t go anywhere until he said hello. Today we motored past the walkers with just a quick hello. It seems Joe doesn’t like people behind him… if he sees anyone coming from in front…where he can keep an eye on them…he’s fine.
Zoe, on the other hand is happy to sniff about and doesn’t usually worry too much about other pedestrians. She was on the scent of a lot again today! She’s so funny… she busts out to smell something or another, but when I give her a slack lead… she’s like…meh! Not that exciting!
We pretty much followed the path, crossed a couple of roads at the top, jumped down into a nice parkland, did a quick loop there and then retraced our steps back.
By the time I got the twins back home, they pretty much flopped down in the shade! I was a little worried I hadn’t walked them far enough today…judging by Joes excitement with the pee wee’s… but soon enough after a drink we were all stretched out in the shade.
Good job Zoe and Joe, see you both again soon.
