03.04.15 Copper
Copper is another of my team that have a team of regular walkers to keep him entertained with play and walks. Sometimes I get a turn!
Copper is another one of my colourful team members! He’s the one that owns a skateboard! And as soon as I am in the gate and he remembers who I am, he’s off to get his skateboard, his ball and rope! So Copper which one?! So I push the skate board down the drive, throw the ball down one pathway and the rope toy in the opposite direction!... He didn’t know what to go for first!
He did manage to get the skateboard, the ball… and when I said lets go for a walk… he was ready for that as well!
We had a quick reminder of walking on the lead, and away we went. Today we followed a roadside walk way until we got to a cycleway and then followed that for a while.
The rain had pretty much held off for a little while so I was able to ditch the rain jacket, and Copper wasn’t wet anyway, so we were pretty much dry the whole walk!
It was relatively quiet. The first day of a long long weekend and it had been raining earlier, so everyone must have been hunkered down inside eating chocolate and watching sports! So we had the walk pretty much to ourselves with hardly any cars passing by… it was very nice.
The cycleway follows a bit of a watercourse so we took a look at that. Copper was happy having a sniff about in the cool damp ground. He follows different scents and finds another and follows that. Only sometimes is he really adamant in following a scent… must… follow…scent…. Now! So we could skip along nicely.
We walked out along the cycleway for a while and then turned at the halfway marker. We retraced our steps again, this time passing a few walkers out between rain bursts, and made it home…yet again, just in time for Dinner…awesome timing Copper! See you again soon…
