03.04.15 Leo and Sadie
Leo, Sadie and I caught a break in the downpour and headed off on the same walk we did the other day…I wanted to see if the creek and the drains had over flowed!
The rain had stopped for the most part and was only mizzling again! Both Leo and Sadie were out in the downpour before, so they were pretty drenched when I arrived! They were very happy to see me despite the rain and we set off for our walk.
I had a plan to take a sticky-beak at what the rainfall had done to the creeks and watercourses. Leo and Sadie were happy to be jogging along, regardless of the rain. As it turned out, the creek and the watercourses were barely running. The rain had stopped its serious attempt, so the rush had already passed by. What was nice though, was that we got to walk through the squishy grass and the leaves we crunched through just the other day!
There was also an event going off up the hill so we could hear the scream of fast cars climbing the mount. I wonder how they were going while it was pouring before? I guess the show went on!
Leo, Sadie and I took a look in the creek. Leo and Sadie found something interesting on the other side of the creek./..not sure what it was, but we had two staffy butts with waggly tails and lots of snuffling going on! I couldn’t see what it was, but it sure got their attention.
We climbed up the otherside of the hill and we even found a very very big ditch in a track that Leo went for a splash in. Sadie wasn’t so eager, but anywhere there is water, Leo is never far from splashing about in it!
The rest of the walk was uneventful. The rain held off, so that was nice… we weren’t dry by the time we got home, but we weren’t soaked through either…so that was pretty good.
Leo and Sadie are two pretty tough Staffies, and rain hail or shine they make the most of their walks outside the yard. Good job Leo and Sadie… I hope you guys curled up in your nice warm kennel!
