03.04.15 Rosie
I got to hang with Rosie for a while today, so we took a walk. It was still drizzling on an off, but we still enjoyed our little jog!
Rosie is one of my team members that I only get to see occasionally, so today I was going to walk her rain hail or shine. She is a tough girl so I just knew she’d be up for a walk.
We headed off and once again, I wanted to explore the floodwaters in the watercourses from the heavy rain that had been falling intermittently. Rosie is a lucky girl and she has access to a whole bunch of watercourses and cycleways to explore. There was one section I really wanted to take a peek at, so we made our way down to one of the 3 watercourses that funnel into one.
The water courses have been very well constructed and you could see where the “high-tide” was by the flattened grass and debris lined watercourse. Rosie was pretty happy to motor along and she would occasionally break to have a sniff about, but she is a very fast walker so likes to keep on going!
We followed the watercourse past one of the settling “ponds” and down further. I did want to go to the last settling pond before the water reached the river, but we ran out of time.
The way home was very nice. The rain had stopped and we were drying off pretty quickly. By the time we got home again we were pooped from the last lil hill climb. We did manage to have a game of fetch…and Rosie reminded me of what a fetch machine she is! We were also glad that we arrived home just in time for dinner! Nice timing!
See you again soon Rosie… nice walking today girl!
