05.04.15 Phil

Phil and I went for one of our big loop walks for our Sunday…no zig-zags or short-cuts… just aaall the way rooound!

When I arrived at Phils place he was helping out with some tree lopping… not the kind you do with tree loppers! The sort you get the tree climbing guys with ropes and chainsaws! That all looked like too much work to me, so I stole Phil away while all the heavy lifting went on…Good plan or what Phil!?

Today we were just going for the miles. So we were stepping it out pretty quick. Though at the end, it seemed we weren’t going fast or far enough for Phil…he was barely pooped, tail wagging and wanting more when I left today! He was full of beans today…so I knew it’d be a big ask to tire Phil out!

So we went up hill and down dale…twice, then followed a roadside cycleway out to a busy road, walked along the roadside for a while, passing a few parks. Along the way, we found some puddles and Phil was into them and pawing in the soft squishy mud. He seems to like that sometimes. Stirring up the mud and having a good sniff. I missed taking a pic of that bit, but we found another little puddle and he had a splash in that too…I was ready with the video…but no nice mud in there apparently!

The pigeon spotting was pretty lean today, we really only saw one little group. But boy did we get close to those! Phil was very excited for a long time after that. Its always fun to see his reactions. I’ll have to get a video from spotting to the dancing afterwards! I do love it when my team have fun… even the crazy kind!

So we made it to the park I was going for and we circumnavigated that and the pond. We continued our loop along a slopey street and met up with a steeper climb. Phil was charging up the hills today leaving me behind to chug along… usually by this stage we are both looking at each other and hoping for nice cool tiles to recover on! Not today…I was the sand-bag to Phil today!

As I’d planned…Phil and I arrived home after pretty much everything was done with the tree removal! I probably should have left Phil to help clean up BEFORE we left…then he’d have been pooped!

See you next time Phil!
