What wild and wooly weather was out there today! Billy and I dodged the heavy rain of one cloudburst and came home just as the wind and hail arrived from another cloudburst!

I had been shuttling some of my team about, going from home to school and back again. We got a little wet but managed to miss the big downpours. After the taxi runs curling up at home with a nice hot drink seemed like the obvious choice, but I looked over at Billy’s place and thought he might be in for a break in the weather…so I headed for Billy’s place.

There was even a little bit of blue sky over head, but I wasn’t entirely convinced that the rain would hold off so I wore a rain jacket anyway.

We walked up a watercourse and found a nice big puddle to play in. But we were on a mission… I wanted to do a big loop up around one of the other watercourses while its nice and cool. In this sort of weather Billy can speed along very happily!

That is when he’s not bailing me up for pats!

We followed a cycleway and passed by some pretty coloured autumn leaves in the trees. Billy was more interested in the scents the breeze was kicking up, so he was distracted in anycase. We powered along and made it to the watercourse and turned to head up along it for a way. Its always nice in amongst the trees. There were a few lil doggies out and about today… Billy was feeling very charitable by not wanting to eat them…he showed great restraint! We sat and laughed at them and shared a pat and continued on!

On the way home we went back to the puddle and Billy got to play in it. He’s so funny… I reckon I could have pegged out the lead…and he’d still be in there! Billy is definitely a water boy… I wish there were more permanent water holes about for him to play in… he lets loose and you can see his big silly grin each time he slaps the water and then tries to nip at it!

Billy, it was great dodging cloudbursts with you today. I hope you decided to stay out of that storm and hail… see you next time…
