Today Diesel and I went for a soggy boggy water-soaked-park run and a lap around the river!

Diesel and I have been letting loose in some wide open spaces and practicing recalls. We have been walking together for over 170 km now and that’s a massive distance for Diesels quick-stepping lil legs to have walked!

So by now, we have a great rapport and we have a lot of fun on our walks as well as the hard work concentrating.

What’s really nice is when I ask Diesel to sit while I undo the lead and then he looks at me and he skips away. Its so awesome to see our lil guy let loose and skipping about where he likes. He is so good at checking back with me…. As well as being so cute! ‘…is this ok Mike?... trots a lil further…looks back’…what about this?’,’…good boy Diesel…!’ and off he trots.

There was a lot of watery pools around so he got pretty muddy and wet, pretty quick! He also came back several times in the laps we did, so I thought we’d just walk it out for the rest of the session.

We did a lap of the riverside walk so that was nice….I can’t remember the last time we did that, so it was good fun to see it in autumn again.

We did ne see too many people or other Dogs for that matter so it was pretty quiet. We made it back to the car and I swear Diesel collapsed in a pile in the back of the car! But I am sure he was back to his old self not too long afterwards!
