Scarlett and I had a nice sunset walk today! I love this time of year…Plus… we found a lost lil staffy-girl… so we helped her find her family!
Scarlet was very excited to see me. There was a break in our usual routine with Easter and some rainy miserable weather, so we scheduled in the next break in the rain. We managed to time it pretty well and got to have a nice walk.
Today, Scarlett and I headed along the cycleway for as far as we could go. It was sooo nice with the sun behind us and the long shadows and the golden glow in the trees. Very pretty! Scarlett would stop me here and there for pats and scratches… she even jumped up a few times (I wont tell anyone if you don’t Scarlett!) so she was very happy to see me even at the turn-around point!
We stopped for a chat and some pics as the sun was setting and then turned around and headed for home. We were pretty much enjoying the path all to ourselves. We had a few cyclist buzz by, but that was about it.
We were not too far from home when we saw a lil staffy-girl, out and about all by herself. Scarlett and I approached pretty carefully, and Scarlett seemed to know I was going to try and help the lost-girl out. She had no ID at all so we’d have to take her to the vets and see if she was chipped.
I took Scarlett home and she was very gracious with the new addition. Scarlett led the way home and then I was off on another adventure to find the lost-girls family…but that’s another story
