Muriel is such a deceptive walker! I was about to tell her mum we were pretty slow today, but when I looked at the step counter we had magically walked a very solid distance! Muriel added to her total of over 145km! just amazing!

Muriel and I have been heading out on our walks pretty early lately and with the cooler weather we have been scooting along. Muriel likes the cooler weather and I am sure is looking forward to the cooler and colder weather coming up!

It was cool enough for me to wear my first vest of the season, and I thought we’d start off with a hill to warm us up! This is where Muriel is the deceptive walker! We were toddling along, smelling lots of scents, and generally just plodding along.

Once again, I was quietly thanking Muriel for the casual start to the day! But we went all the way up to the destination park, via a loop through one of my favourite tree groves, crossed the road again…then another and then back to one of the watercourses we both like!

We only met a couple of walkers and their dogs along the way. It was reasonably early still, so it wasn’t too busy or anything. It was lovely walking in the early morning sun and we had covered some good ground today.
