Its amazing how much ground we cover in our walks, lead-free sessions and recall practices! We were back on the paddocks again…you know…just to stretch our brains some more!

The other day Diesel and I went along the riverside walk. It’s a beautiful walk, especially at theis time of year. Lots of leaves to snuffle about in, people to say hello to and dogs that we get to practice our hellos with. Diesel is doing so well with those these days. But the more we practice the better.

Today though, we were back to the open fields. I know I have said this before, but its so nice to see diesel when he is taken off lead…you just know that previously he would have bolted off to goodness knows where! But now hes great at jogging off, looking back and scooting about. Sure sometimes he goes a little too far…but he comes running when redirected!

Its actually quite hard work for Diesel. You can even see him start to running back, but like some kind of crazy reflex action, like running into an invisible barrier wall he’ll dart off course following some scent…and after a pause hes like ‘…ah right… Mike…I’m coming Mike!’

Its such a hoot to watch this lil guy. Sure he’s crazy…but he’s our lil crazy boy. That just loves coming in full flight for some wrestles and pats and off he goes again!
