15.04.15 Muriel
Muriel has been out a lot in the last little while, so we had to choose a path that was less well trodden.
We set off this morning into a bit of mist that always makes for a great light to walk by. Nothing better than to walk into a fog that is clearing before your eyes! Muriel didn’t seem to notice, but she always keeps to herself. She was enjoying the damp grass and the piles of freshly mown clumps, and whatever was hiding in there. I’m guessing it just smelled nice.
So we scooted down an alleyway passed under a tunnel and met up with the cycleway. We headed off towards where we know some horses hang out to see what they were up to. Then to head off up to the levee and see how we were going for time.
The cycleway along this particular section is quite flat so we made great time. Muriel isn’t fascinated by horses, she says hello and keeps walking. They were close by the fence so that they can say hello to the walkers, joggers and fur-family members taking a morning walk.
We made it to the levee, passing by some very interesting smells! We must have been downwind on our walk today! So we turned off up towards a busy main road and followed the roadside. We were motoring along again as a few of the early-bird traffic passed us by.
We were both in our own little worlds when we met up with a neighbour and her walker. So we stopped for a hello. Muriel is well known around here, and she always likes to say hello when she can. Always so sociable!
We continued on along our way and made it home for a comfy rest in the sunshine and all of the extra pats she could get from me! It was great to see you again Muriel, have a relaxing weekend.
