16.04.15 Billy

Walking with Billy is just too casual sometimes…did we just go for a walk?.. the step meter I have said we knocked off more k’s to add to the tally!

Today Billy and I were heading off to do a loop that mostly stuck to cycleways and paths. We headed off but only a few hundred meters in I…had to take leave…. I promise I’ll get back to you mate… so we jogged home…Billy was like…whats up?...and off I dashed.

After the false start, Billy and I headed off on what would be quite a nice walk. Billy has been very cat-focussed lately. In the routes we have been taking there are cats at a couple of houses…no avoiding them no matter which way we go. Billy has only ever seen these cats two times in our 325k’s together!...but he always checks the bushes where he saw them last! Its hilarious…he goes in tail-deep into the bushes…just to check!

We managed to gather ourselves and crossed to a cycleway and followed that off to where some workers were line marking (I don’t think Billy got too much paint on his paws…I didn’t see any line-marking-white paw prints!). We then crossed the road again, where the paint was dry this time, and followed another cycleway.

Heading this way, we could take a number of routes home, but I chose for us the one that takes us down a watercourse. Its very pleasant in amongst the trees there and we can head down it as far as we can, adjusting the routes home as we go.

Billy and I just hit the path and we kept on walking. It wasn’t until Billy asked for a shady rest break that I realized we had better take all the shortcuts home…and be quick anyway…ooops!

I kinda like it when that happens… just walking with my mates! We always try to get home as close to the right time as possible and mostly even though we have had to do a jog to get home…we’re usually not too late

So we did make it home and we weren’t too pooped when we got back. I even challenged Billy to a rope tug with his favourite piece of rope… but he’s like…nah! What if a cat comes by…I’ll need to save my energy…!

Have a great weekend Billy.
