16.04.15 Binji
Today Binji and I went further afield and took in one of the main streets in Bathurst. Lots of sights, sounds and people!
As promised the other day, once again, I have been exploring new streets (for me and maybe for Binji), going along some very pretty laneways, further along busy streets, and today we did a “Mainy”, well… we walked up a busy street busy with the “Brunch-time” crowd. Very civilized I can tell you!
So today we finished an exploration of a laneway that then took us to another, that then took us to a main road. We scooted along that with the intention of heading up to see who was having a late breakfast! Along the way we met the first of our groups of people. Just standing and chatting, but new faces nonetheless. Binji was very brave and we scooted around them and then headed up the main street.
Along the way, there were all the sights and sounds of busy brunchers. The smell was very nice too…well, I thought so! Binji got to meet a lot of people and some dogs and even a cat walking by! Although it was a lot to cope with, he did very very well. He got a few nice hellos from passers-by, but we were all business.
We did take the very next turn off down a far quieter street and Binji got a pat and some scratches. That was a big effort. So many new faces all at once. But I am sure he enjoyed the challenge.
To finish off our walk we took our time and even had a rest in some shade. Binji had been doing a big work out mentally and physically, so he enjoyed the rest break to catch his breath…and I suspect, some more pats!
We made it home again, right on schedule for a treat, a drink and a rest. Well done today Binji…all those busy people…very challenging!
