18.04.15 Check-ins

You may all by now know

, that Bathurst Dog Walking does taxi rides, Check-ins as well as the walking. I also do check-ins and feed on a number of “home-yard” pets!

Check-ins can be a simple feed, or feed and hang around and play endless games of fetch and tug-o-war, or letting in and out of enclosures, or the shed, or the laundry, that they call home each night and morning. Coats can be put on or taken off as needed too!

As I have a paramedic degree I am also happy to keep medication schedules up and keep an eye out on changes. My eye for watching “My”Dogs body language is improving, with the help of Eryn at Ashaari Canine Academy… always lots to learn!...so I can pick-up any changes pretty quickly.

This week I also got to one of “My” Dogs to the vet for their annual vaccinations. Please make sure all your special family members are up to date!

During the weekdays when pet carers have to go away for work and on weekends when families need to go away for a night or two, I get called in to help out.

It’s so nice to do the check-ins with some of my regulars and some of the team that have their care all taken care of except on the odd weekend or days here and there.

My team members range from, of course “My” Dogs, and the cat too, but I also look after house hold pets such as Guinea Pigs, some very happy free-yard chickens, free range chickens that love a scratch around in their massive chicken run, a pony and a couple of horses.

Its kinda fun to feed the chooks, check their water and give them piles of left over hay to scratch and scratch about in…they seem very happy after I have been. Of course everyone loves the guy with the feed bins, so I get a nice welcome from the horses too!
