18.04.15 Zoe and Joe

Zoe and Joe have moved house so we get to walk in all new areas! Woo hoo! Lots to explore!

Zoe, Joe and I have covered almost 350km together so even though we have switched up our walks, and they are also lucky enough to have lived pretty much in the centre of a whole bunch of walks it was great to see Zoe and Joe explore a totally new area… and didn’t they get excited!?

Zoe and Joe are a pretty steady team. We don’t get overly excited, we don’t bark at other fur-friends and they are happy to pass on by with just a look over the shoulder. Today everything was new! PLUS the show was in town too. So the excitement just kept building!

I had planned on doing a circuit of the river, but there were a lot of horses, and horsey smells around and then all the people and the noises from the scary rides and screaming people were all pretty much overwhelming poor Zoe and Joe! They didn’t do anything silly, but they just didn’t know which way to look!

We turned about and went downstream to where it was quieter. Along the way Both Zoe and Joe wanted a closer look at the river. We were on the bank-cut side so there were some drop-offs to the water! Zoe and Joe inched closer and closer…I pulled Zoe back saying…oi! Theres a cliff… just as Joe stepped over and fell on to a ledge! Funny Boy! He fell maybe 30cms but he was glad to drag himself up the bank!

That was very exciting! That was also the end of us and I said right lets chill. So we checked out the river from much further away and walked along the levee.

We got to meet lots of people and we made some fan-friends! People love “my”two Boxers! They are very fit happy dogs and they love meeting new people. So again even that was pretty overwhelming.

We finally headed home after helping someone with directions.

I am pretty sure that we didn’t cover too much ground today, but I am sure Zoe and Joes brains had a big workout! I always find brain work far more tiring than physical work! But that’s just me! Good walking today Zoe and Joe…look forward to more explorations guys!
