21.04.15 Billy
Billy and I got to take a windy and blustery walk today. The crazy wind and drop in temperature just made things more fun!
When I first started this whole dog walking thing it was about a year ago and Billy was always at the gate to meet me as I walked down Billy’s driveway. Over the summer months Billy was mostly shaded-up and napping out of the sun. But now its winter again…Billy is there again with tail wags and his happy snort!
Billy is a pretty tough guy you know… well… when he’s not stopping me for pats! Did you know he stops me for pats so often at times that we sit share some scratches and look at the view! Some tough guy!
Billy did pick a couple of good spots though and once again we sta and checked the view! ‘…check the serentity Billy!...’, well between blasts of wind!
We did manage to take a walk along the fenceline again. With the wind we could smell that there were some sheep around somewhere and we saw some evidence of some roos. We took our first pat and scratch and view check by one of the watercourses along the route. We continued on to see all the sheep feeding close by in the paddock over the fence. Despite Billy being very interested in the sheep (he was quiet, but really wanted to say hello!), they stuck around and took a good look at us.
Billy got bored with that so we continued on, crossed a watercourse, and checked out the goings on at the development site. We did a back street shuffle as a loop and then we came back along the fenceline.
We also found a nice deep puddle…well, Billy scoped it out from a distance, and I thought, why not!? We spent some time in that puddle going back and forth snapping at splashes, nose dives through the water and of course lots of tail wags! Its so great to be able to give my dogs such a great time and so obviously having fun.
