We did an exploratory backstreet shuffle today…just to see where everything leads.
Timmi and Pippa are a funny pair. They were a little shy at first, but now we can get the leads out and attached with happy tails wagging and a lets get to it eagerness. I didn’t really have much of a plan to hit them with today, but they were off and out the gate, regardless of where were were heading. I guess when you love your walks as much as these two do, it doesn’t really matter where we head.
Pippa has lots of energy and I’m not sure yet whether I am walking too far, or not far enough, for Timmi. He’s a hard boy to read. He hasn’t complained but sometimes I get the sense that he sees through my erratic street selection as just a means to wear him out! But he trots along with a few backward glances and off we go. Along the way we get to see a lot of fur-family members at home in their yards that look as though would like to head out of the yard and take a walk. I always feel that my team members are very lucky to have families that take their Dogs exercise needs seriously. At the same time I feel a bit sad that some dogs are at home with not much to do.
Makes me want to jump the fence and bring them for a walk too! But best not to be jumping peoples fences!
We did a couple of big loops that crossed each other in a weird kind of pretzel shape, so I had Timmis head spinning a bit. Pippa was like…oh, you wanna go that way…Great! She’s very easy to please!
We did have a bit of a mission today, and that was to make sure we got home in time for a visit and a play date with another family member. Timmi and Pippa have a great social life and are very happy lil Dogs. We made our connections in time and off they went on another adventure! Good job again today guys…see you soon.
