I promise Mum…they were like that when I got ‘em!

Bella and Teddy are little dynamos, and I just love it! They welcome me with scampering lil legs, lots of excitement and Bella, always with a ball in her mouth ready to start up a game of fetch! I swear she would stay there the whole time running about catching tennis balls!

We headed off and I had noticed how “road worn” Bella was…then I connected the swimming pool with the gardening Bella had been doing and I could see how she got muddy! Funny girl. Teddy of course was Mr clean so I assume he managed to stay out of both the water and the mud… smart boy!

I was quietly hoping that we might find one of those many puddles around the place that we could walk Bella back and forth through and maybe return her slightly cleaner than when we collected her!

The plan was to try and do another big loop in the area close by home and see where we ended up. It was fun doing some back street shuffles and since the rain there was a bit of water in gutters and I thought maybe if we walked through enough of those…mission accomplished on the clean puppy return! It was hilarious though as the gutters were quite slippery and Bellas lil four-paw-drive still slipped out at the rear. I think she enjoyed the slip n slide as she did it when ever we found and other slippery bit!

Teddy had a go…but all that water and slipping about wasn’t really his thing!

We managed to follow a couple of the busier roads around in a big loop today and racked up our longest walk in a while. So that was good.

By the time we had arrived home I had all but given up on returning a relatively clean bella (she’d have only jumped in the pool and played in the dirt again anyway!) when she jumped in a mud pool stickier than glue… I managed to catch her before going in chest deep!

Ok bella…jump in your pool…good girl! See…almost as clean as when we started! Good walking guys!
