29.04.15 Leo and Sadie

Today Leo and Sadie helped me walk past the 2000km mark in my own lil doggy adventures! Thanks guys!

Today leo, Sadie and I headed off towards some familiar territory for our first walks back after a while. Mrs Leo was on the injury bench and I wanted to make sure he was back to his best before we went out traipsing about the countryside! Leo of course is a tough guy and was probably asking where I had been…but I was just makin sure big guy!

So we headed off on one of the simple loops we do. No big hills, mostly across the tops and out and back. It’s a very nice parkland walk that we do. It takes in parts of the big school on the hill as the grounds are quite scenic and its not too far from home as the crow flies.

I did a check before we left and two good stops before our “halfway point” and I was happy with his foot so we just charged on…as you’d expect from Leo and Sadie!

We got to a point where we turned around near a foot ball oval and we probably could have waved at Leo and Sadies Mum…but she was probably busy. Also at about the turnaround point, I probably clocked up my 2000th kilometer! So that was very exciting…well it was when I did the count back a few days later! I am very happy to have made that lil milestone…all with a little help from my friends! So Thanks Leo and Sadie.

On the way home I thought we’d take a lil diversion home, and we followed a nice grassy trail. It hadn’t been used before and I wanted to see how clever Leo and Sadie were…. And of course they picked the path of least resistance! Smart cookies. Sadie in the lead and Leo second, with me lagging behind!

After a nice walk out and about we ended on a little bit of excitement. There are some noisy neighbours around and about and of course they had to make a fuss. Leo has been a bit distracted of late so it was a bit of a mission for him to concentrate…. We made it home and thank goodness we were a little pooped as we were able to settle down for some hard earned power napping!

Good Job leo and Sadie… and thanks for pushing me over the 2000th km!
