29.04.15 Muriel
Today Muriel and I headed off on a hill climb that meant we had a great down hill run to get back home again!
Muriel and I have our walks at what some might think as the best part of the day…early morning! I have seen both ends of the day and sometimes like the one that involves a sleep in! But no sleep-ins for Muriel. She is a very early riser and enjoys gardening and birdwatching in her back yard before her day starts!
Muriel and I are both no longer spring chickens, so starting off with a hill climb is sometimes not such a great idea. But we take it slow and warm up, and by the time we reach the top we are all limbered up and trotting along. As we walked I took some happy snaps of the autumn colours in the leaves. Muriel knows me well enough by now to leave me to my leaf peeping and knows I take a few snaps and off we go…pretty harmless really!
On the way down the hill we met up with some friends and as we stopped to say a brief hello, Muriel rolls over and looks for belly rubs from everyone… Muriel is so funny. Any opportunity to take pats and belly scratches whenever you can…even on the fly!
The walk up to the top of the hill was slow for both of us and I was wondering if the route I had selected was wise. But as always with Muriel…she is a blindingly fast finisher! We scooted around the rest of the route with no trouble at all and arrived home in time for snack treats…some times I wonder if that’s all she comes walking for…!?
Have a great rest of you week Muriel…!
