01.05.15 Leo and Sadie
Today we headed off down a big long hill so we’d have a tiring walk home…I think it worked!
Leo and Sadie have been working on being calm around other Dogs in their lessons lately. Leo has been very reactive lately so its been a big effort on his part. Along the way today we had to pass lots of distractions and even a couple of phantom distractions. For some unknown reason we got very excited over a fence! So we sat down, shared some pats until we worked out that there really was nothing there!
We had to do that again when we saw a teeny tiny lil dog being walked across the road, so we sat down and just watched until they disappeared around a corner out of sight!
We made it all the way past the railway station and walked along the rail side to see what we could see. There’s a nice big grassy space there so we sat by the railway and just chilled out.
We took a few pics by the old train and headed for home. We were all much more calm on the way home so that was nice to see. We passed the exact same spot where we were a bit nuts and we ignored them all completely …I think the phantoms went away!
We climbed the long hill and I think that was a good plan as we may have been too pooped to get too excited! The last test was the walk down the home stretch. There are a few noisy Dogs that like to stir things up but we walked by pretty well. Sure we took a look but we managed to make it home pretty relaxed and pretty pooped.
Its always nice to see my team say good bye with that well exercised look and can’t be bothered to say bye! I’ll take that as a win! Good job today Leo and Sadie.
