Daisy lily and I headed along a cycleway in the opposite direction we took last walk. So it was another nice flat walk for the girls!

Daisy and lily were all rugged up when I arrived. Out of the sunshine it was a bit cool today, but out in the sunshine it was actually quite warm. So we detached the jackets, hooked up the leads and off we went again.

Today Daisy, Lily and I planned on going along the cycleway that follows a levee to the end of the cycleway and see how we were going. We are still a new team so its nice to just head in a direction and see where we end up.

We walked along the road and ducked down an alleyway. Its pretty funny…I don’t know what has happened in the past, but lily gets all excited and jumpy. I haven’t worked out what it is…maybe there is a noisy neighbor on the other side of the fence!? I’ll have to keep my eye out. So from the alleyway we jumped onto a cycleway and headed off into the sunshine of the afternoon.

The walk along this section of cycleway is very pleasant. We get to pass some horses, but with all the rain that’s been around, some of the paddocks are a bit flooded and all the billabongs are flooded. So lots of birdlife flitting and flapping about! The ducks were especially excitable today. I’m not sure if the girls noticed…they were more interested in the scents that were wafting up along the pathway we were taking!

We skipped along one section of cycleway, then crossed the road to another and we scooted along that til it ended too. We sat for a little while to catch our breaths and to have a good look around. Daisy and Lily were missing all the good views with their heads down and tails up with all the smells. When Daisy realized we had passed a bunch of horses, she got a bit excited… but she went right back to nosing for most of the way home.

On the last section, we jumped up onto the levee and followed that to the park and headed for home. We had made really good time on our return journey, we added another small loop to get home. We covered some nice ground today daisy and Lily…well done…see you again soon!
