06.05.15 Bella and Teddy
Wow! Wasn’t Bella and Teddy’s walk a nice one today!
The other day we went on a very loopy walk around the streets and back alleys around Bella and Teddy’s home. That may not seem like much, but we do see lots of people and cars and smell a lot of things around the place, maybe the odd cat and some dogs locked up in their yards at home. But what it does do is show us short cuts and potential walks for future reference.
The other day we took a short walk along a country road that reminded me of a walk that we could do. So today we saw how far we could get along the country road and maybe even visit one of my favourite walking / cycle paths and a waterhole.
We headed off into a nice sunny day, but it was still quite cool out. We soon warmed up with a pretty fast walk down hill. Even though we scooted along as fast as our little legs would carry us we stopped to take a good look around as we bounded over freshly mown swales of grass (big effort for those little legs!).
We made good time to the cycleway and even though we had a long hill to climb to get home again, we went and took a look at the swimming hole. The water hole was still up a few inches, but the little riffle was starting to appear. The higher water in the past weeks though had left a very nice little spot for shorter legs to paddle about in.
Bella of course was in the water as soon as she could get in! Teddy was having a look around on the river bank. Bella went in to just about belly deep. Teddy on the other hand in his sniffing about wasn’t concentrating and fell into the water! It was very funny. Where possible he likes to stay dry, but he doesn’t mind getting wet too much. He was still sniffing about when he came ot so I guess it wasn’t too big a deal!
We had to head home again as we had spent some time in the water and we still had a hill to climb. We made great time and made it home after another little adventure! Good job Bella and Teddy, you funny pair of kids!
