Timmi, Pippa and I added more distance to our ever increasing walks today.

I have mentioned that we have our ritual now. We sit and share some pats, pippa now strongly encourages me to play fetch with her. I put Timmi’s collar and lead on…so he’s ready to rock and roll…but Pippa is still pretty focused on the ball! Timmi gives pippa a hurry-up (a few times) and away we go.

Despite the ball-play, Pippa is first out the gate and first to charge off and take the lead on our walks!

You can always tell that you are accepted as the friendly dog walker, by the ever-increasing walks we get to do with new team members. I don’t push my new team members, nor do I drag anyone along…we sort of meander along and take our time, with the pace set by my fur-friends.

The walks that I have taken with Timmi and Pippa have been slowly increasing in distance, and Timmi is less interested in trying to get home. I hope its because we get to have a little bit of fun outside the homeyard gate and exploring whats about. Pippa as I have mentioned, although was the slowest to warm to me, is now my chief excited fan when I arrive! So that’s good to see.

Todays walk was very chilly and windy (I remembered to wear a warmer shirt!). My friends furry little ears were getting blown about in the wind, and I am sure a headwind for my little guys was an effort to walk into, but we charged along and soon warmed up!

Timmi Pippa and I headed off on what I thought would be the biggest loop we could do that had a nice exit walk if we needed. But we made that big loop and took the exit on the second lap! WOW!

We were pretty much all business today. Some times Pippa finds things to play with, or a muddy pot hole to be pulled away from!...or timmi trying to suggest another short cut home… but today we just cranked out the kilometres!

We made it home to find our family member that takes Timmi and Pippa away for a play date, waiting for us. They have a family fur-friend as well so all the family get together and hang out. Ideal for these chilly days…lots of play and running around with each other… I wonder if Timmi crashed out again!?
