08.05.15 Leo and Sadie

The other day I mentioned how much hard work Leo and Sadie were on our last walk… not today…they did so well…YAY!

I did manage to retrieve my camera from my car this time…sorry Bella and Teddy!

Leo and Sadie, like all of us, have days where lots of distractions interrupt our day. But today we seemed to recover well and we got down to the business of walking and enjoying our walk through the autumn leaves, exploring a short bush track, checking out some deep brown puddles (that I just know Leo wants-in on!) , and scooting along in the breeze with all its smells to enjoy!

Today I got to bust-out both Leo and Sadie to go for our walk! Leo and Sadies house had some builders around so they both had to be secured in their pen…just to be safe and to keep out of the way of the builders! I amd sure Leo and Sadies ideas of fun would distract the builders!

So when I got there I busted them out of the holding pen…they were sleeping in the sun mind you… they were very very happy to see me. We had to chill for a bit before we left but we calmed down enough for us to see how we’d go on our walk. We did really well getting out of the street Leo and Sadie live in, so that was a great start, and from there we were just back to our normal, excited and happy, but mostly restrained selves.

When my team members are settled and just walk…we can cover much more ground than say when they really want to pull me around! So today we covered a great lil walk. We went down the hill to a creek then walked around to a road that crossed the creek again. As we were making such good time I planned to head all the way around to where we made it when we were a bit distracted.

To get there though, we “jumped” a fence and strolled along it past big open sports grounds and open space. To get to it though we walked through a nice grove that had a weeping eucalypt shading some magpies. Leo wanted to say hello to them, but we kept on going.

We walked past the place where we did some calm-down laps the other day and looped through the park… It was so much nicer(and easier today!)

Heading home, we passed some more nice tree groves, walked along a busy roadside , cut through a laneway with a big brown puddle, that Leo always wants to dive into but we kept on going.

We made it home and both Leo and Sadie said goodbye at the gate, but I am sure they both crashed out. Its been a busy week of school and walks… have a relaxing weekend guys!
