12.05.15 Indy and Bailey
The other day Indy, Bailey and I were dodging rain showers, today we braved the wind and dark clouds.
I will be getting to walk Indy and Bailey on and off for a little while so to get off to a good start today we headed for one of the open spaces we like to criss-cross and circumnavigate. The clouds were pretty thick and heavy over the Mount, but there wasn’t a growing haze of rainfall like the other day that turned us around.
It wasn’t long before we were flying along the pathways and skipping across the roads making our way towards some open paddocks. The sun was glaring through some breaks in the cloud, so not only did some clouds have a silver lining, but my two Labradors had a sunny sheen of their own!
The park we went to has lots of trees to explore and humps and hollows to investigate. Indy and Bailey are always on the scent of something or another so their noses were working in overdrive to cover all the ground we were speeding over.
We got to the parkland by crossing over a well used sporting oval that we walked around before, then we headed off in a loop that would end up by a roadside. We wove our way through the trees and made it to the fenceline which we skipped along, yet still taking in the sights and smells as we went. We didn’t see too many people or dogs today as most people I am sure took a look outside and stayed indoors.
Indy, Bailey and I ended up doing a lap of the sports ovals to get home, so we got to cover a lot of ground today. Good job guys, and weather permitting we’ll get out amongst it again soon…
