13.05 15 Leo and Sadie
Today saw Leo, Sadie and myself scooting by roadworks and heading for some more wide open spaces.
All my team members work hard during our walks. Whether its keeping nice and calm around noisy neighbours, walking nicely on a lead…or just ignoring that cat that is mocking all of us from behind that gate! We all have challenges. Leo and Sadie are a great pair. Sure they can be rowdy…but for the most part they just love their time out of the yard and getting in amongst it all.
Today, Leo was very interested in a lot of smells he came across. His nose was working over time today and I mean that in a good way! Sometimes I just know when my team are onto something…something interesting. Today it took me a while to work it out.
So Leo and Sadie were on a lot of scents today not unusual at all for my team members. There were scents leading off into thick grass and some that lead under fences, some where leading around and around trees and so on. It wasn’t until we got out into the open parkland where Leo and Sadie kept trying to get in under some trees that I noticed what it may have been that has been scampering about. Some of my team really love to follow the trail of possums…but in this case I think Leo and Sadie were excited about some rabbits that may have been around.
It made sense really… lots of scents crossing pathways, a few under fences, hiding in amongst trees and then disappearing into the tall grass… plus off course all the lil rabbit poops…that was the giveaway!
This is what I love about Dog Walking, “my” Dogs always have a great time and that’s mostly of their own making. Lots to see and smell and all the strange noises of birds, trees creaking or mike whistling way out of tune! My Dogs can have fun just walking around the block to see what everybody is up to, some like to blast out the kilometres but they all get a kick out of getting out of the yard!
Thanks to Leo and Sadie for taking me outside of my yard for a little while…well done.
