13.05.15 Muriel
It was a very crispy cold morning this morning! I am glad I wore a beanie to keep my ears warm…!
Muriel came out to greet me as she always does. Lead in her mouth, tail wagging and doing laps around my legs like a great big yellow haired cat… she even coats all my clothes with lots of Muriel fur…so that’s an added bonus!
After a chat with Muriel and her Mum, Muriel is usually the one to call time-on, and off we go! Today, I had a bit of a plan to head down towards the river, following along the cycle route. I always ask where Muriel has been in her last walks (she gets walked every day) and we go in a direction that hasn’t been used in a couple of days. Muriel is lucky as she has lots of pathways to take. Though yesterday Muriel was at the riverside park with her mum and taking photos for the Million Paws Walk coming up soon. Muriel may be famous and get her pic in the local community newspaper!
So Muriel and I headed off along the cycleway all along to the fenceline that leads down to the river. We got to see the horses soaking in the sun that had finally peeked out from behind the clouds, and finally warming up. I was pretty much the same…thankful for the warming rays. How do we ever cope with the cold of winter!? Todays cold wind was a reminder that we still have a long way to go before we are in shorts and t-shirt weather again… Brrr! I did wear a beanie today to keep my ears warm… but I still wasn’t smart enough to put a jacket on until afterwards!! … I will get my wardrobe sorted sooner or later!
As always Muriel, another great walk in the early morning sunshine! Have a great week…
