Today Zoe and Joe got to run like…well…like mad-dogs, at the local enclosed dog park…woo hoo!

When I arrived today Zoe and Joe knew something was up when all the “tunnel-of-dogs” went a bit crazy… so they always know I am coming. Now when I walk around the corner I do a big eagle-wings gesture and Zoe and Joe start bounding around like the two crazy kids that they are!

The other day, when I arrived, they were wearing their fine new winter coats, that some local folks have been selling. They look very swish and warm…so that’s a good plan for my friends with short hair!

So today when I came around the corner, Zoe and Joe had their winter coats on again. Joes coat has a military “camo” theme to it… Sargeant Joe!, while Zoes coat has a more colourful, more conspicuous theme! I am glad she has the colourful one as if they both had “camo” I’d never find them!

When I took the coats off, they were very very warm and snuggly… So I am sure Zoe and Joe approve. Though, having said that, the first thing I did was take their jackets off. Our lil walk would warm them up.

Today we had an extra special treat and we went to the Dog Park after walking to the river and along the levee. I chose to go when the park was empty as we might have had too many distractions! But we had the place to ourselves so we ran around madly in the enclosed leash free area. Zoe and Joe were so so happy! They are always a pretty happy pair, but today they would run at me full speed, come in for a landing…get some pats and off theyd go again. We even got to play on some of the apparatus in the park. Zoe especially liked jumping on the big tunnel/ pipes. Joe was too busy madly running about to climb on things…but I just know he had a ball!

So now I know a place that Zoe and Joe really like… I am sure we will visit it here and there…it was great fun out there today!
