20.05.15 Daisy, Lily and Evee

Today It was the Daisy, Lily, Evee and Mike show… what a troupe we made today…all shapes and sizes!

I have been getting to fill in for a few walks with Daisy and Lily, here and there. They have a friend who stays over with them sometimes and today he wanted to come for a walk too. Evee is even smaller than Lily, so it was tricky for me to clip Evee in while Lily was trying to help by licking my face and hands while I worked…Thanks Lily!

Daisy, whom I had clipped in first, was at the gate and waiting… not very impressed by Lily and Evee’s antics… I was trying not to laugh…but it was pretty funny!

We managed to finally get everyone sorted and we headed off. I had a plan to walk along the little creek-line that has the cycleway running alongside it. Daisy, Lily and I had walked up this way a few walks ago and it had horses and ducks and some cattle there before…always worth a look!

We all settled in after a few tangles… and what was Lily thinking, running in and out from under Daisy… I have no idea? Evee was wanting to lead the way all the time, but we kept her back just a little and she was just fine.

There has been a little rain about, which is why I had planned this route, as there were big pools of water out in the sports fields, so that was lucky…we stayed with our feet mostly dry! We did get to see a lot of ducks…no one seemed overly interested in those…well except for the bit where we startled a whole bunch of ducks and they all took off…that made some of us jump a bit!

We easily made it to the same turn around point Daisy, Lily and I made it too…so we didn’t slow down for the extra legs we had today. On the way home we climbed up on to a section of the levee, and that gave us a different view and we got to see some ponies. Daisy and Lily know not to annoy any livestock while I’m around…no disturbing the peace! Evee was a little excited…well they were pretty close… but we managed to pass them by without too much disruption…

Along the way out…I had a nice ski down a clay slope…so we took our time getting off the levee this time… I don’t think our paws were too muddy… but I know my shoes have some very stick clay on them…

Good walking Today girls… and welcome to the team Evee!
