Muriel and I brave the cool morning fog and wait for the sun to burn off the mist
Muriel and I planned a shorter walk today. It seemed that Muriel had over indulged at the Million Paws Walk and was feeling a bit sheepish this morning! She was, however adamant that we go for a walk! So off we went.
Muriel had over indulged at the walk as her mum had been working the registration and prizes table, so Muriel was sectioned off by herself. Muriel wasn’t too keen on not being involved and put on a sad face, so people kept feeding her… and, well, you know how you feel after eating too much chocolate aor fairy floss…well she was feeling it even a few days later!
We did manage to have a nice walk regardless. Muriel is a trooper and loves her walks. To take it easy on her, we just followed the cycleway and only did a 45 minute walk. Muriel seemed appreciative of the concession and we still made good time. We Passed the 165km mark…so her average wont be too dented!
Muriel took her time to smell the roses along the way. We had the place to ourselves again. But that seemed logical as it was very grey, underneath the thick fog. Even the sun was having trouble slicing through. It didn’t really make an appearance until after I picked up Leo and Sadie… so it was a nice blanket of fog out there.
We made it home and had a snack of something a little less tummy upsetting and Muriel was pretty happy with herself. Good walking, as usual Muriel…see you next week!
